§ Mr. David Howellasked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications if he will list the agency services carried out by the Post Office for Government Departments, giving the amount paid to the Post Office in the last financial year by each Department for the services performed.

to what extent it is intended to maintain these services at their present level; and whether he will study the question of transferring them to a network of single Government offices in towns throughout the country.

§ Mr. StonehouseThe future of these services and the levels at which they are maintained are in the first instance matters for the Government Departments concerned and the Post Office. I have no reason to think that the present arrangements call for any special studies by my Department.
