HC Deb 18 February 1970 vol 796 c121W
Mr. Peter M. Jackson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when it is proposed to complete the restoration of Cargarff Castle; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Ross

Restoration should be largely completed in about two years' time, when it should be possible to admit the public to the Castle. The work which remains to be done includes providing parapet walls to the external staircase, laying a timber floor in the "Officer's room", laying the courtyard in cobbles and completing treatment of the external walls.
