Nabarroasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will now state the revised anticipated revenue from all alcoholic beverages, analysed under various types, during 1969–70 and the revenue from tobacco, the latter divided as to revenue from cigarettes, and revenue from remaining tobacco products; and what is the total revenue from tobacco and alcoholic beverages in 1969–70 and each of the preceding nine years tabulated in appropriate form.
§ Mr. DiamondI will circulate in the OFFICIAL REPORT a breakdown of the 1969–70 Budget estimates for tobacco and alcoholic drinks and the information requested in respect of certain years. It 61W is not the practice to publish revised detailed estimates for any current year.

Almost all tobacco duty is charged on raw imported leaf, and not on the end product.
