HC Deb 13 February 1970 vol 795 c442W
Mr. Brooks

asked the Minister of Transport how many cost-benefit analyses, comparable to that conducted for the Victoria-Euston line, have been carried out during the past 10 years into the railway extension projects discussed by the Merseyside and South-East Lancashire and North-East Cheshire Land Use and Transportation Studies.

Mr. Murray

Cost benefit analyses of a more advanced character than that published in respect of the Victoria Line were applied to the main transportation proposals considered in the Merseyside Study and are also being used in the as yet uncompleted S.E.L.N.E.C. study.
