§ Mr. Elystan MorganI am informed by Her Majesty's Inspector of Fire Services that the equipment of the Portsmouth fire brigade is capable of meeting operational requirements at the present time but that a programme has been approved for replacing a number of old appliances. My right hon. Friend will consider in the light of the Holroyd report whether present arrangements for ensuring that fire authorities maintain proper standards are adequate.
