asked the Secretary of State for Social Services on what date he first received representations from the hon. Member for West Ham, North, concerning Gustav Polya and the need for getting him into a home; when he sent a substantive reply; and what action has been taken and with what results.

Following correspondence with my predecessor and representations to my office on 15th October, 1969, I received a letter from my hon. Friend on 24th November. Extensive efforts have been made to secure accommodation better suited to the needs of this youth and these continue. I understand it is unlikely that a suitable home can be found and arrangements for his transfer to another hospital are under considera-
