Mr. David Howell

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity if she will list the places in which it is planned to establish new offices of the Professional and Executive Register, together with expected dates of opening and the anticipated annual cost of each office.

Mr. Dell

It is planned to establish offices of the Professional and Executive Register during 1970 in Bradford, Guildford, Sunderland and Wolverhampton. Negotiations to obtain suitable premises are still proceeding. The estimated annual cost of these offices is £10,000, £14,000, £9,000 and £18,000 respectively. This is at current rates of pay and prices and is based on average costs of other offices of the Department.
