HC Deb 09 February 1970 vol 795 c257W
88. Sir D. Walker-Smith

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what arrangements are made and by whom for the travel and accommodation of his accompanying private secretary and detective when he travels abroad solely for the purpose of attending meetings of the Monnet Committee; and by whom the expense in respect thereof is met.

Mr. M. Stewart

As I explained to the right hon. and learned Gentleman on 2nd February, a private secretary and a detective accompany me because I remain in charge of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office when attending these meetings. Their travel arrangements are made and paid for by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in accordance with the official regulations.—[Vol. 795, c. 9.]
