§ Mr. Frank Allaunasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will seek to make the granting of loan sanction to local authorities for any future building of houses and flats conditional on the design being approved by his Department as being such as to avoid condensation and damp.
§ Mr. FreesonLoan sanction is granted only if dwellings comply with the Building Regulations.
Those regulations which relate to water penetration, thermal insulation and ventilation are already intended to provide some protection against condensation and damp.
