asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will make a statement on the proposal of American Medical Enterprises Incorporated to take over a British hospital.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what consultations have now taken place between his Department and American Medical Enterprises Incorporated for the purchase of a British hospital for use as a private abortion centre; and whether approval for such a centre has been given.

86. Mr. Booth

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what meetings on the matter of the purchase of a British hospital have taken place between his Department and American Medical Enterprises Incorporated; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Crossman

No consultations or meetings have taken place with my Department nor have I as yet seen any evidence of any intention to use the private hospital in question as an abortion centre.
