Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether every Member of Parliament has the right to use State cars belonging to embassies abroad; and on what basis of repayment is such use assessed.

It is quite proper for a Member of this House when abroad on official business to enjoy the free use of official transport subject, of course to its availability and at the discretion of Her Majesty's Representative.
