§ Mr. Skinnerasked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many local authorities have completed the elimination of all slums in their areas; and whether he will take this into account when allocating the proposed new subsidies.
§ Mr. AmeryI believe that few authorities have done so, although in a number of areas the problem is not substantial. The reform of housing finance will have regard to the problems of housing authorities as they affect them in the future.
§ Mr. Skinnerasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if local housing authorities which remove slums too 474W quickly will be limited in their access to the Public Works Loans Board.
