Mr. George Thomsonasked the Minister of State for Defence what arrangements are being made in connection with the defence run-down in Singapore to retain separate schools, hospitals, swimming pools and recreational facilities for the British forces remaining in Singapore after the end of 1971.
§ Lord BalnielWe are studying the educational, medical and recreational facilities needed for our forces in Singapore after 1971 and will be discussing these with the Singapore Government. At this stage I cannot give details of the arrangements that will be made.
