§ Mr. Eldon GriffithsElectrification from Euston to Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham was completed in 1967 at a cost of about £90 million. Extension to Glasgow at an estimated cost of £25.2 million was approved in February of this year. My right hon. Friend has received no requests from the British Railways Board for further capital expenditure on major electrification projects.
