HC Deb 16 December 1970 vol 808 cc371-2W
137 and 138. Sir G. de Freitas

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) what requests she has received from the appropriate local authority for the rebuilding of the Kingsley School, Kettering;

(2) what requests she has received for the removal of the Kingsley School, Kettering, to more satisfactory accommodation; and whether she will make a statement.

Mr. van Straubenzee

Requests for inclusion in the 1970–71 and the two subsequent building programmes for special schools have been made for the extension and remodelling of the Kingsley School. The latest proposal for 1972–73 was received earlier this month. A decision will be announced early in the New Year, when all proposals have been received and priorities decided. No proposal has been made for moving the school to another site.
