HC Deb 15 December 1970 vol 808 cc322-3W
Mr. David Clark

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many children's residential homes there are in the West Riding; and what proportion of these was built before 1900, 1920 and 1940, respectively.

Mr. Carlisle

The only available information is that 48 of the 182 homes provided by the local authorities in the West Riding, and 14 of the 27 registered voluntary homes in the geographical county, were already in use as children's homes in July, 1948.
