HC Deb 02 December 1970 vol 807 c402W
Mr. Parry

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement following his recent visit to the Shelter Neighbourhood Action Project in Liverpool on the Government's policy in regard to similar projects.

Mr. Peter Walker

I was impressed by Shelter's achievements in the rehabilitation of a residential area of Liverpool. Their project has demonstrated the scope for co-operation between the local authority and voluntary bodies and the importance of the public participation in carrying through area improvement schemes.
