§ Mr. Anthony GrantIn the years 1967–68, 1968–69 and 1969–70 expenditure approved for grant—other than in respect of ships and hovercraft which do not attract the higher development area rate of grant—was respectively £1,056 million, £1,404 million, and £1,705 million. Respectively 37, 32 and 29 per cent. of this annual expenditure was given grant at the development area rate.
