HC Deb 01 December 1970 vol 807 c347W
Mr. Nott

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry when he will announce his decision as to whether or not he will ban all supersonic commercial flights over land in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Noble

The decision will be made as soon as I have all the necessary information on which to base it. This will be well before any supersonic aircraft flies on commercial service in United Kingdom airspace.

* The proportions of total EEC imports coming from the United Kingdom and the United States are best calculated entirely from EEC import data.
† Owing to a discontinuity in United States export statistics figures for 1965 and later years are not fully comparable with those for 1958 to 1964.
