asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will give official approval to the setting up of community hospitals, so that the regional board may proceed with the planning and setting up of such hospitals.

Mr. Alison

We are studying the question. Particular types of community hospital are to be tested by means of pilot schemes in the Oxford region.
