§ Mr. BryanThe index for beer in the General Index of Retail Prices rose by 0.4 per cent. between 16th June, 1970, and 20th October, 1970, the latest date for which the index is available. This is based on the movements of a large variety of different kinds of beer including both bottled and draught beers and makes allowance for variation in the original specific gravity.
