§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the number of road vehicles unlicensed, derelict and abandoned on the highway and open spaces for as long as 12 months, he will send a circular to local authorities on the operation of the Civic Amenities Act, 1968.
Mr. Bob Brown:The Department has given advice to local authorities on the removal and disposal of all types of abandoned motor vehicles in two Circulars since the passing of the Act in July, 1967. As far as we are aware, the relevant sections of the Act are operating successfully.
