asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what will be the number of grants for research students in the biological sciences, including psychology, to be awarded by the Science Research Council in the coming year.

Mr. Fowler:

This will be dependent on the number and quality of applications received.

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what have been the total number of grants made to research students by the Science Research Council in each year since its formation and the proportion in each year made in the biological sciences, including psychology.
