HC Deb 29 April 1970 vol 800 c310W
38. Sir G. Nabarro

asked the President of the Board of Trade what was the difference between the value of British exports in the 12 months to 30th November, 1965, to Rhodesia, and those in the 12 months to 30th November, 1969; what part of the diminution in such exports has reached Rhodesia via South Africa and Portuguese territories; and what steps he is taking in the matter.

Mr. Mason:

£31 million. There is no way of knowing the extent of any resale to Rhodesia of our exports to other countries but, except under licence, it is an offence to export goods from Britain knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that they will be supplied to Rhodesia.
