HC Deb 29 April 1970 vol 800 c315W
59. Mr. Willey

asked the President of the Board of Trade what Government assistance is given to the National Marketing Council; what action is taken by the Council to assist marketing activities in the Northern Region; and if he will make a statement.

Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody:

Since 1965 the National Marketing Council has received a grant-in-aid from the Government. Provision has been made in the estimates for the current financial year for a grant of £6,300. This includes a sum of £1,000 for the Northern Regional Marketing Committee which undertakes activities designed to increase awareness of the importance of the marketing concept.
