asked the Minister of Transport if he will include the Wheathampsted bypass in the Hertfordshire preparation list for 1971 –79.

Not at present. This proposed scheme was one of many carefully considered for inclusion in the interurban principal road preparation list announced on 31st March this year but was found not to justify sufficient priority on that occasion.
