§ Mr. MurrayWe have received several letters on this subject since the new limits came into force, including one from the hon. Member. We have endeavoured to give helpful replies to the various points raised.
§ 41. Mr. Montgomeryasked the Minister of Transport on what basis and by whom the allocation of the Continental licences to the road haulage industry is decided.
§ Mr. MurrayWhere bilateral agreements are in force and permits are required, the allocation is made by the Department's officials. Particular attention is paid to the urgency and importance of consignments, but any other relevant factors are also taken into account.
