HC Deb 28 April 1970 vol 800 c272W
75. Dame Irene Ward

asked the Minister of Transport whether he will take steps to ensure that appeals against the Traffic Commissioners' decisions on increased fares will be speeded up so that applications for further increases will not be received by local authorities before the appeal against previous increases have been dealt with.

Mr. Bab Brown:

The appeals procedure inevitably takes some time. All possible steps will be taken, however, to announce appeal decisions before further applications are heard.
