HC Deb 27 April 1970 vol 800 c247W
Mr. Jopling

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware of a recent serious accident to a child in Endmoor Village, near Kendal, and of the public concern in the area; and whether he will take immediate steps to improve the standards of road safety in the village.

Mr. Bob Brown:

I am aware of the accident, and I am distressed that a child has been seriously injured as a result. I understand the public concern. A scheme for the improvement of the trunk road through the village is programmed for this year but a start on work depends on completion of the necessary land acquisition.
