HC Deb 27 April 1970 vol 800 cc227-8W
Mr. Onslow

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity what estimate she has formed of the cost to her Department, since October, 1964, of non-attributable Press briefings.

Mr. Dell:

I regret that this information is not available and could only be made available at a disproportionate expenditure of time and money. In any case the cost is insignificant.

Mr. Onslow

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity why she holds non-attributable Press briefings.

Mr. Dell:

Because my right hon. Friend considers it necessary to assist in explaining the policy of her Department.
