HC Deb 23 April 1970 vol 800 c130W
Mr. Pavitt

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity what arrangements she has made to ensure comprehensive audiometric examinations for young persons about to take up employment of a kind known to be harmful for the cochlear apparatus, and in which the right of indemnification is recognised.

Mr. Harold Walker:

None, but my right hon. Friend will shortly be discussing the whole question of hearing and noise in industry with her Industrial Health Advisory Committee. On the question of idemnification I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Services on 22nd October, 1969.
