42. Mr. Monro

asked the Secretary of State for Defence for what reasons he has decided that the shoulder-flash eagle should no longer be worn on Royal Air Force uniforms.

Mr. Hattersley:

After full consideration it was concluded that the airmen's new No. 1 terylene and worsted uniform was smarter without the eagle flash.
