HC Deb 21 April 1970 vol 800 c85W
Mr. Buchanan-Smith

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what was the total value of claims for damage as a result of exercise Sparrowhawk in North-East Scotland in May, 1969 which have been settled; how many claims were refused; and what claims still remain to be settled.

Mr. Richard:

37 claims have been paid at a cost of some £6,600. None has been refused, but two were not pursued. Four claims are outstanding. In two of these an offer in settlement has been made, whilst in the other two cases the claimant has still to provide details of or information about his claim.
