33. Mr. Peter M. Jackson

asked the Minister of Transport when he will make a decision in respect of the appeal lodged by the consortium of local authorities in North Derbyshire and South-East Lancashire against the proposed application to increase fares by the North-Western Road Car Company Limited.

Mr. Bob Brown:

The appeal was heard on the 9th April and we have not yet received the inspector's report. When it is available my right hon. Friend will announce his decision as soon as possible thereafter.
