HC Deb 20 April 1970 vol 800 cc47-8W
Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what amount of winter unemployment relief money was allocated to the Western Regional Hospital Board in 1969; what part of the board's allocation was spent in southern Ayrshire; and what projects were undertaken.

Mr. Ross:

£482,000 was allotted to the Western Regional Hospital Board in the winter of 1969–70. Of this total £30,000 was allocated to Southern Ayrshire. Most of the money was spent on maintenance; bigger projects were a dining room and fire precautions at Ailsa Hospital, Ayr, and catering facilities at Heathfield Hospital, Ayr.
