71. Mr. Edwin Wainwright

asked the Minister of Technology what was the tonnage of domestic coke produced by the Gas Board for the years 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968 and 1969, respectively; what is the estimated figure for 1970; and if he will ensure that sufficient smokeless fuel is produced in 1970 to meet the winter demands.

Mr. Alan Williams:

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply I gave on 17th April to my hon. Friends the Members for Liverpool, West Derby (Mr. Ogden) and Manchester, Gorton (Mr. Marks).
