§ 70. Mr. Alec Jonesasked the Minister of Technology what steps he will take to improve the employment prospects, particularly for males, in the borough of Rhondda, in view of the recently announced redundancies at Electrical and Musical Industries, Treorchy.
§ Mr. Carmichael:The Department will continue to bring to the notice of industrialists with suitable projects the resources available in the Rhondda, which enjoys the full range of financial inducements available in special development areas. We are now acquiring a site at Treherbert for a 25,000 sq. ft. advance factory.
