HC Deb 20 April 1970 vol 800 c46W
Mr. Wright

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether in giving figures for road accidents in Scotland in the last six years, he will distinguish between those occurring during the hours of 4 to 6 p.m., the hours of 10 p.m. to midnight, and the hours of midnight to 4 a.m.

Mr. Ross:

This information is not immediately available but I shall write to the hon. Member as soon as possible.

Mr. Wright

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give figures for road accidents in Scotland for each month of each year since 1964, distinguishing in each case between killed and injured.

Mr. Ross:

The total number of persons killed and injured in road accidents is set out in the table below, fatalities within these totals being shown in brackets:

number and type of hospital beds closed as a result of staff shortage in the area of the Eastern Regional Hospital Board; and in which hospitals these beds are situated.

Mr. Ross:

No beds have had to be closed in this region because of staff shortage.
