§ Mr. Elystan MorganMy right hon. Friend is considering proposals for widening the functions of traffic wardens to include enforcement of the Vehicles (Excise) Act, 1962. It is for chief officers of police to decide what tasks shall be undertaken by traffic wardens within the functions prescribed as appropriate for them by law.
