HC Deb 15 April 1970 vol 799 c246W
Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will make a statement on the accident to the Aberdeen trawler "Ben Gulvain", as a result of which both the trawler and the wharf were damaged, indicating how and why it occurred.

Mr. Goronwy Roberts

I understand that the "Ben Gulvain" collided with the Fish Market Quay at Aberdeen on 25th March. The police are making inquiries into this and other incidents there. On the facts at present available the incident does not appear to require a Board of Trade inquiry, but I am keeping in touch with the harbour authorities.
