HC Deb 21 October 1969 vol 788 c201W
Mrs. Ewing

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity if she will investigate the imminent proposed closure of the Sheltered Workshop in Hamilton where disabled persons may find work who would have difficulty in acquiring it on the labour market; and what arrangements are available from her Department to assist the Burgh of Hamilton in its difficulties in carrying on this project.

Mr. Dell

The Town Council of the Burgh of Hamilton has decided to close down its sheltered workshop on 28th February, 1970. My officers are doing their best to find alternative employment for the five workers concerned; one has already been placed.
