HC Deb 21 October 1969 vol 788 c216W
Mr. Judd

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT details of those polytechnics and universities where students have representation on the academic council or similar body and details of those polytechnics and universities where they do not.

Mr. Fowler

In all eight polytechnics established to date students may be co-opted as members of the academic board, and in one of them specific provision is made for student representation on it. I have no central record of current practice in universities, many of which are in process of reviewing and modifying their arrangements for student participation.
