HC Deb 21 October 1969 vol 788 c225W
Mrs. Ewing

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the maximum improvement grant in Scotland at present under the Housing (Scotland) Acts 1950 to 1964; and what plans he has to increase the maximum.

Mr. Ross

Under the Housing (Scotland) Acts 1950–64 the maximum amount of improvement grant payable in normal circumstances to a private person was £500, but since the Housing (Scotland) Act 1969 came into operation on 25th August the maximum has been £1,200.
