§ Mrs. Ewingasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will introduce legislation to give fire authorities power of 225W compulsory inspection of premises on giving due notice.
§ Mr. RossFire authorities already have powers of inspection in relation to means of escape and other fire prevention matters in a number of different types of premises. Further legislation relating to places of public assembly and resort is under consideration.
