§ Mr. James Johnsonasked the Minister of Transport what stage has been reached in the planning of the motorway from the A.1 at Ferrybridge to Kingston-upon-Hull.
Mr. Bob BrownThe eastern extension of the M62 motorway is still in an early stage of preparation. We hope to publish proposals for the route between Ferrybridge and Balkholme in two sections in the Spring and Autumn of next year. Provision for a further extension of route to South Cave was made in the recent additions to the preparation pool, but the timing and standard of construction have not yet been decided.
