HC Deb 21 October 1969 vol 788 cc193-4W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Minister for the Civil Service why information is not available concerning the number of civil servants who are to receive increases in their salaries resultant upon the Plowden Committee's Report and have resigned from their appointments during any stated period of time; and whether he will take whatever steps may be necessary to secure this information.

Mr. Shore

I assume that my hon. Friend has in mind the answer given to his Question on 22nd July. The reasons civil servants give for resigning are not, at present, recorded centrally. But we intend to obtain such information in the future as part of a new system of records which is now being established.
