HC Deb 21 October 1969 vol 788 c183W
Mr. Brewis

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will issue an instruction that the banks should give favourable borrowing terms to auctioneers and feeding stuff merchants who traditionally give credit to the farming community.

Mr. Taverne

I am sure that the banks are well aware of the importance of these activities to the agricultural industry and I see no need to issue further guidance.
