The provisional weekly average numbers of insolvencies occurring in England and Wales during October, 1969, were:—bankruptcies 96 (including 5 partnerships); compulsory liquidations 51; and creditors' voluntary liquidations 40. The weekly averages for October, 1968, were:—bankruptcies 90 (including 6 partnerships); compulsory liquidations 38; and creditors' voluntary liquidations 34.
