§ Mr. Buchanan-Smithasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will announce the result of his consultations with local authorities in Scotland in relation to the grant offered towards the cost of strengthening multi-storey blocks of flats.
§ Mr. RossMy noble Friend the Minister of State has discussed with the local authorities concerned the Government's offer to meet 40 per cent. of the cost of remedial works and of other expenditure which can be accepted as incidental thereto. Suggestions made by the local authorities are under consideration.
