HC Deb 04 November 1969 vol 790 c70W
43. Sir G. Sinclair

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer in view of the importance of the Report of the Pearson Commission and the responsibility of the House for deciding on the aid programme of Her Majesty's Government, if he will authorise Her Majesty's Stationery Office to issue a copy of this Report free to each Member.

Mr. Taverne

No. This is a commercial rather than an official publication and as such is not supplied free to Members. There are copies in the Library and I understand that further copies have been distributed through the Overseas Development Institute to a number of Members. In view of the interest shown, arrangements are also being made with the help of the Institute for the Library to have an additional 20 copies for the use of Members.
